Terahertz beam array generated by focusing two-color-laser pulses into air with a microlens array

Terahertz (THz) radiation from a plasma filament array generated by focusing two-color laser pulses into the ambient air with microlens combining lens is investigated. We observed linear dependence of far-field collected THz on number filaments and separated bunches that are less than 1 mm in diameter. These results indicate individual contribute incoherently to entire output, which demonstrated further our simulation. Furthermore, output energy shows total beam has not yet reached its saturation point under conditions current pump lab, indicating it still possible improve increasing energy. This may possibly be used micro- or sub-millimeter multi-samples for imaging as stimuli source more scientific research future.
